JOHANNESBURG, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Africa-China partnership is a mutually beneficial endeavor with huge potential for further growth, a former South African senior diplomat has said.
The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) opens in Beijing, capital of China, Sept. 5, 2024.
"We will seize the opportunities brought by the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to fully unlock the potential that exists in Kenya and other African countries," said Kenyan President William Ruto during an interview with People's Daily. The comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Kenya and China continues to develop, and the two sides' practical cooperation has yielded fruitful results, he noted.
Based on mutual respect and shared interests, Rwanda and China have achieved fruitful results in their practical cooperation in infrastructure, poverty reduction, agriculture, trade, green development, and digitalization, said Rwandan President Paul Kagame in a recent interview with People's Daily ahead of his attendance of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing. "We look forward to further strengthening our cooperation, especially in new and emerging fields, ensuring that our partnership continues to benefit both Africa and China," noted Kagame.
