Redundancies in HP – for survival under fierce competition
Affected by the impact of the mobile Internet, the global demand for personal computers continues to shrink. Dell and Lenovo are introducing increasingly fierce competition in the field. Dell took private, ending a 25-year run as a publicly traded company that posed pressure on HP's prices. Lenovo, in turn, has seized HP's traditional markets - North America and Europe. HP has found itself falling through a crack in the market and the company is at crisis point – will it respond to the challenge, or fade away?
