GUIYANG, Jan. 13 -- Fourteen people were killed while seven others injured in an explosion in a village in southwest China's Guizhou province on Monday, local government said.
The explosion occurred around 2:30 p.m. at Laoshan village in the city of Kaili, sources with the city's publicity department said.
The provincial government has urged local authorities to spare no efforts in treating the injured.
Investigation into the case is now in full swing.
