Pick of the Halloween parties

Since Halloween falls tonight, there will be plenty of bashes and costume events, from upscale to rowdy fun.

Here’s a pick of a few.

• Halloween Psychedelic Night at M1NT

Date: October 31, 10pm

Address: 24/F, 318 Fuzhou Rd

M1NT will deliver a sophisticated Halloween bash. It’s decked out all in white, from cobwebs to ghosts and ghouls. The restaurant is always popular before the parties, but there won’t be vampire’s blood cocktails, witches blood and other macabre delicacies. The staff will be in suitably scare costume.

• House of Horrors at Cirques le Soir

Date: October 30-November 2, 9pm

Address: 4/F, 22 Zhongshan Rd E2

This pricy, high-concept nightclub features twisted cabaret acts and performances, and high-cost minimum spends. The brand comes from London where the first Cirque le Soir has been extremely successful. It stages a creepy circus act with eccentric decor and a house of horrors with demonic creatures, skeletons, and assorted ghouls, witches and other denizens of the night.

• Pervert Halloween at Bar Rouge

Date: October 31, 10pm

Address: 7/F, Bund 18, 18 Zhongshan Rd E1

Pervert night returns to Bar Rouge for a wild Halloween special. Don’t forget your whips, chains, stilettos, collars and leather accessories, as well as any particular whims and depravities. Expect the unexpected. So be bold, sexy, fun and outrageous.

• “American Horror Story: Murder House” at The Apartment

Date: October 31, 9pm

Address: 47 Yongfu Rd

Admission:

Prepare to be seriously scared as The Apartment is transformed into creepy sets from the TV series “American Horror Story: Murder House.” It’s also ladies’ night, so they will get free flow cosmos and bellini & espresso martinis from 9pm-midnight. Bloody Mary’s available in XXL sizes.

• “Game of Thrones” at The Geisha and The Flamingo

Date: October 31, 10pm

Address: 390 Shaanxi Rd S.

The king is landing to take the throne with the hottest beats and shows by ladies of the night. See the mysteries behind the wall. Free admission, one free shot for the first 100 in costume before midnight. Costumes required.

• Hennessy Artistry Club Series Party at Muse on the Bund

Date: November 1, 10:30pm

Address: 5/F, 99 Beijing Rd E.

Special guest DJ Ann Kolt from Russia and JPM, a Taiwanese Mandopop band, will keep you dancing.

• Wood + Wires Music Festival’s late night DJ party at Qingshuiwan Culture Center

Date: November 2, 10pm

Address: 179 Yichang Rd

The party features DJs Emika, Ikonika, Objekt and Downstate from the UK and DJ ChaCha from Shanghai. It is part of a three-day festival featuring live bands, eclectic acts, minority singers, and good food and beer.
