The combo shows the Bailong River peacefully running through the reconstructed Zhouqu County, northwest China’s Gansu province (above) on Aug. 6, 2013 and rescuers using large machinery to clean the mud and debris brought by mudslide to the river’s watercourse at the end of 2010. Three years ago, heavy rainfall and flood caused a deadly mudslide in Zhouqu, leaving 1434 people dead.
