Tropical storm Cimaron brings heavy rains to Fujian (11)

Tropical storm Cimaron made its landfall in Fujian Thursday evening, bringing heavy rain and strong gales to southern part of the province. Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou and Putian were severely affected by the storm, with the rainfall in some regions like Longhai reaching 520 millimeters on Friday. About 123,000 residents were afflicted by the storm and no casualties have been reported yet. (Xinhua/Wei Peiquan)
