A mother's chance to be pregnant with all girls or all boys quadruplets is 1 in 3.525 million in the world. Zhu Yanhong is one of them. The four sisters were born very small, with the heaviest one weighing 1.7 kilograms and the lightest one 1.4 kilograms. The parents named them "beautiful", "pretty", "cleaver" and "smart" respectively, hoping they will not only have good looks but also intelligent brains.

Zhu Yanghong and her husband are ordinary farmers who live in a village in Jiangxi province. After their children were born, these quadruplet sisters brought lots fun to the family, but also financial pressures.

Raising them is not easy: the living cost of the four girls was about 3,000 yuan a month. As the girls grew up, the family would need to spend more on them, so Zhu Yanhong and his husband decided to leave hometown to look for well-paid jobs in big cities and left the girls to grandparents. Zhu’s husband only travels back to home to see his daughters once a year for saving money.

Zhu said it is worthy to work more and bear more for their children. She and her husband hope the quadruplet sisters can receive good education and have bright future.
