Traditional rituals of Qiang nationality in southwest China (10)

People in Mao County of Sichuan Province held a Heaven Worshiping Ceremony during the Warezu Festival to pray for harvest. According to the categories of Shibi, the Shibi Classic can be divided into three columns: the upper column, the middle column and the bottom column. The upper column is about stories of gods, the middle column is about stories of people, and the bottom column is about stories of ghosts. The Qiang nationality worships and believes in many gods. Every ceremony starts with the God. Verses chanted during the Heaven Worshiping Ceremony are parts of the upper column verses, which are mainly about building a ladder and welcome gods, praising gods, praying for wealthy and healthy life, good weather and harvest.
