Ying Xiangyang, 23, the founder and CEO of Fuzhou YouBox Electronic Technology Co., Ltd |
Listed on the latest Forbes China 30 under 30, Ying Xiangyang, 23, and his Fuzhou YouBox Electronic Technology Co., Ltd has caught much attention for his identity as a college student.
Inspired by his own online shopping experience, Ying developed an intelligent express terminal with his team, which is believed to bring huge convenience to logistics industry and has applied for national patent.
Ying found many online buyers complained about the uncertain delivery time, which not only brought troubles to receivers, such as rescheduling and long waiting time, but also increased the workload of couriers. Some packages were delayed or even returned because of the "absence" of the addressee.
Ying’s idea of Youbox, the intelligent express terminal, comes from lockers in the supermarket. If first delivery fails, the courier will lock the packages in the nearest Youbox then a text message including the full address, number and code of the Youbox will be sent to the addressee’s mobile phone. The addressee then could take his or her package with the code at any time before it expires.
The company has signed 1 million yuan of orders in nine months since founding. And now it is seeking further cooperation with Shentong and Yuantong, the two largest express companies in China. It is expected that in the next few years, Youbox could generate an annual income of over 2 billion yuan for the company.
From two founders to today's team of 24, Ying Xiangyang’s company grows and constantly develops and improves their products. "Before accepted by many people, I have to get stronger enough " Ying said.
