Personal incomes growing faster than GDP (2)

Meanwhile, employment is also on the rise. In 2012, 11 million more people found jobs compared to last year.

Fan Jianping, Chief Economist, State Information Center, said, "The income increase rate is higher than the economic growth rate, and the rural resident income rate is higher than urban residents. I think the economic situation will be the same in 2013. "

A report released after last year’s 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China said the government will work to double the country’s GDP and per capita income for both urban and rural residents from 2010 levels by 2020.

Many say the country should do a better job at income distribution and strive to make the incomes of low- and middle-income residents grow faster.
