People protest against the "Anti-Magnitsky Act" in downtown Moscow, Russia, Jan. 13, 2013. The Anti-Magnitsky Act, signed by President Vladimir Putin on Dec. 28, 2012, bans U.S. citizens to adopt Russian orphans and is part of Russia's response to the U.S. Magnitsky Act which introduced sanctions against Russian officials related to the death of Sergei Magnitsky, a whistle-blowing lawyer who died in a Moscow pre-trial detention center in 2009.
