Hailuo Valley: No.1 red stone rapid in the world (5)

The photo shows the unique spectacle of red stones in the Hailuo Valley, at the foot of the Gongga snow-topped peak, which situates on the eastern hillside of Gongga Mountain at the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The red material on the stones is a kind of primitive algae. The valley is known as the "No.1 red stone rapid in the world". (China.org.cn)
