On Nov 26, 2012, representatives from the world gathered in Doha to participate in the 18th sessions of Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC and 8th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol.

The conference will complete the negotiation of The Ad Hoc Working Group that ‘Kyoto Protocol’ and ‘Bali Action Plan’ setting, in order to deliver the ‘Durban Platform’ to be adopted by 2012.

However, the disagreement and gap between developed countries and developing counties are still the obstacles for reaching a consensus and implementing the actions for emission reduction.

The UN climate change official said this conference must deliver its objectives to speed up global action towards a low- emission future where everyone has the chance to live a sustainable life. More and more people are paying attention on global environment, and more countries are making efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emission.
