Lam enrolled to the university in 2019 and completed his undergraduate studies in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Now he is pursuing master degree in acupuncture and tuina.
Coming from a family of medical professionals, he chose a different path from his family members, most of whom practice Western medicine. His goal was to become the first TCM practitioner in his family.
Fluent in Chinese, Lam believes that TCM is not only a medical skill, but also a means of cross-border cultural exchange and heritage preservation. After graduation, he plans to return to Vietnam to practice medicine and continue his clinical and academic work in TCM.
"I want to contribute to the medical development of China and Vietnam and help promote the exchange and preservation of traditional medicine between two countries," he said. (Xinhua/Lu Boan)
