Chinese FM meets chairman of Indonesia's National Economic Council

BEIJING, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, chairman of Indonesia's National Economic Council, in Beijing on Thursday.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership has continued to deepen.
China is willing to work with Indonesia to promote solidarity and self-strengthening of the Global South, Wang said.
The two countries should strengthen the alignment of their development strategies and promote the transformation and upgrading of bilateral cooperation, he said, adding that China is willing to help Indonesia enhance its capacity for independent development and accelerate its modernization process.
Luhut said Indonesia attaches great importance to its relations with China and is willing to work with China to translate the comprehensive strategic partnership into more outcomes of practical cooperation.
