CAIRO, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday that China-Egypt relations have become a benchmark for collective cooperation between China and Arab states and between China and Africa.
Such ties are also a model of amity, solidarity and cooperation among developing countries, Xi said in a signed article published in Egyptian media outlets ahead of his state visit to the country.
In the article, Xi said that China and Egypt have always been close brothers who stand together through thick and thin, reliable partners committed to win-win cooperation, a successful model of mutual learning among civilizations, as well as sincere friends based on equality and mutual trust.
