MANILA, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The early conclusion of consultations on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea would help safeguard peace and stability in the region, keep the region's future in the hands of regional countries, and deny external actors any opportunity to meddle or cause disruption, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here on Tuesday.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan in Manila, the Philippines.
