China to provide 5,000 AI training opportunities for developing countries: Xi

SHANGHAI, July 17 (Xinhua) -- China will provide developing countries with 5,000 opportunities for artificial intelligence (AI) training and seminars over the next five years, President Xi Jinping said Friday.

Xi made the announcement when delivering a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 2026 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance held in Shanghai.
