Chinese delegation attends BRICS Women Ministerial Meeting
NEW DELHI, July 9 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese delegation led by Huang Xiaowei, vice-president and first member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation, attended the BRICS Women Ministerial Meeting held in Kochi, India, from Wednesday to Thursday.
At the meeting, Huang said China stands ready to work with all parties to implement the four global initiatives proposed by China, empower women's development through practical cooperation, promote mutual learning among civilizations through people-to-people exchanges, and translate the outcomes of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women into concrete action, to jointly advance toward a community with a shared future for humanity.
The delegation also actively shared China's development achievements and pushed to include references to China's hosting of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women and the promotion of women's all-around development in the joint statement adopted at the meeting.
