BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- China's military development is aimed at safeguarding national sovereignty, security and development interests, and does not target any country, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a regular press briefing on Friday.
Guo stated that China adheres to the path of peaceful development. "China's growing military strength represents a growing force for world peace and helps uphold peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific and beyond," he added.
