Freight yard at Lhasa West Railway Station bustles as Qinghai-Xizang Railway marks 20th anniversary

As China marks the 20th anniversary of the Qinghai-Xizang Railway's operation this year, the freight yard at Lhasa West Railway Station in Lhasa, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, is witnessing bustling logistics operations, reflecting the vigorous vitality of the region's economic and social development.
Serving as a major logistics hub in the region, the freight yard plays a key role in ensuring the supply of goods for local production and daily life while facilitating the shipment of local products to markets beyond Xizang.
According to official data, more than 350 trucks are loaded and unloaded at the station each day on average, and the station's annual cargo throughput has exceeded 6.59 million tonnes.
