China appreciates Pakistan's efforts to ease Middle East tensions: spokesperson
BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhua) -- China appreciates Pakistan's efforts to ease the Middle East tensions, and supports all efforts to deescalate tensions in the Middle East and resume the dialogue, calling on all parties to initiate the peace process as soon as possible, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday.
Spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks at a regular news briefing when answering a query about the talks of foreign ministers from Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia on Middle East issues.
"We support Pakistan's continued role as a mediator, and are willing to strengthen communication and coordination with all relevant parties, including Pakistan, to jointly promote peace and stop conflict, and safeguard regional peace and stability," Mao said.
