China to continue maintaining communication with U.S. regarding Trump's visit: spokesperson

BEIJING, March 18 (Xinhua) -- China will continue to maintain communication with the U.S. side regarding President Donald Trump's China visit, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said here on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Lin Jian made the remarks at a daily press briefing in response to a query about China-U.S. high-level exchanges.
"Head-of-state diplomacy plays an irreplaceable strategic leading role in China-U.S. relations," Lin added.
