Oxford, Cambridge join Ice Dragon Boat Race in Harbin

Universities from China and abroad gathered at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) to experience the thrills of ice dragon boat racing. The inaugural HIT Cambridge Oxford Cup Ice Dragon Boat International Friendship Race was held on January 10 on the frozen Songhua River in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Fourteen teams competed, including students from Oxford University, the University of Cambridge, Peking University, Tsinghua University and HIT. Paddling in unison across the ice, the young contestants raced toward the finish line, demonstrating strong teamwork and determination.
