Hop on a train to savor autumn colors across China

It’s the perfect time to take a train to savor the autumn colors across China.

A passenger train was launched by China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd. at the end of 2021. The train runs between Lanzhou West Railway Station in Lanzhou, capital of northwest China's Gansu Province, and Dongfeng South Railway Station in Dongfeng town, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and passes through Jinta county in Jiuqiu city, Gansu.

Located 8 km northwest of Jinta county is the famous Jinta desert populus euphratica forest scenic spot.

The train leaves in the evening and arrives the next morning. Passengers can now enjoy picturesque autumn views along the route.

The Jining-Tongliao Railway, which links Jining district and Tongliao city in Inner Mongolia, passes through Jingpeng Railway Station in Jingpeng town of Hexigten Banner, which is located in the hinterlands of the Hunshandake Sandland in the autonomous region. The railway station is close to several national 5A tourist attractions, the highest rating for Chinese scenic spots, attracting tens of thousands of tourists every year. Annual passenger trips at the station averaged over 100,000.

The Baoji-Chengdu Railway, which links Baoji city in northwest China's Shaanxi Province to Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, is the country's first electrified railway. The train runs through the rolling Qinling Mountains, which are the natural boundary between north and south China.

The railway's Qinling Railway Station is located in Huangniupu town, Fengxian county, Baoji city, Shaanxi. Train No. 6063 is a slow public service train that passes Qinling Railway Station and runs through Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi provinces, allowing passengers to enjoy the stunning scenery in the vast Qinling and Daba Mountains.

The 1,786-km Lanzhou-Urumqi high-speed railway links Gansu's Lanzhou and Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is called China's most beautiful high-speed railway by passengers. They can enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Danxia landform in Lanzhou along the route.

A tourist train nicknamed the "New Oriental Express," one of Xinjiang railway authorities' dedicated tourist trains, has attracted throngs of tourists from home and abroad for its high-quality travel experience.

Starting from Urumqi, the train allows passengers to enjoy the stunning scenery in cities and counties in Xinjiang, including Kashgar, Hotan, Korla, Yining, Fuyun, and Beitun.
