BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- China is ready to work with the European Union (EU) to continue to leverage the role of the export control dialogue mechanism and promote the development of bilateral trade in dual-use items, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
Ministry spokesperson He Yadong made the remarks at a regular press conference in response to a media question about rare earth export licensing to the EU.
China is willing to continue to provide facilitation for the approval of rare earth export licenses to the EU, and hopes the EU will offer facilitation for the reciprocal resolution of key licensing cases concerning China in the dual-use field, He said.
