Chinese vice premier meets executive vice chair of National Committee on U.S.-China Relations
BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng met with Evan Greenberg, executive vice chair of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR), in Beijing on Monday.
He, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the United States recently, and the two heads of state agreed to build a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability based on respect, fairness and reciprocity.
China and the United States should jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and inject more certainty and stability into China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation and the world economy, He said.
It is hoped that the NCUSCR will continue to play an active role in promoting China-U.S. economic cooperation, He added.
Stressing that stable development of U.S.-China relations is of great significance, the U.S. side expressed willingness to continue to play a bridging role in promoting enhanced economic exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
