A grassland child's musical dream

Maqin County in Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai Province, sits at an average altitude of 4,300 meters. It is the hometown of Yeshi Tsetung, whose musical dream began at Golog Xining Ethnic Middle School. In 2023, China’s first Tibetan youth wind band— the Golog Prefecture Youth Wind Band— was founded here with Yeshi Tsetung as one of its first flutists, bringing her musical dream to life.
