PBOC to issue 60 bln yuan of RMB bills in Hong Kong

HONG KONG, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced on Monday that the People's Bank of China (PBOC) will issue six-month Renminbi Bills through the HKMA's Central Moneymarkets Unit.

According to the HKMA, the six-month RMB bills, totaling 60 billion yuan (about 8.95 billion U.S. dollars), will mature and pay interest on March 29, 2027.

Tendering for the bills will take place on Sept. 23 this year, with settlement on Sept. 28.
