Chinese vice president meets Australia's House of Representatives speaker

BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Australia's Speaker of the House of Representatives Milton Dick in Beijing on Monday.

China is ready to work with Australia to enhance strategic communication, mutually beneficial cooperation and multilateral coordination, properly handle differences, and promote the building of a more mature, stable and productive China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership, Han said.

Noting Australia attaches great importance to ties with China and adheres to the one-China policy, Dick said the Australian House of Representatives is willing to strengthen dialogue and exchanges with the Chinese side and expand practical cooperation to bring benefits to the people of both countries.
