Chinese defense minister calls for deeper defense cooperation with Indonesia

JAKARTA, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun said Friday that China is ready to work with Indonesia to further tap the potential for defense cooperation and create more highlights in bilateral cooperation.

Dong made the remarks at the Second Ministerial Meeting of China-Indonesia Joint Foreign and Defense Ministerial Dialogue in Jakarta.

China is willing to work with Indonesia to advance cooperation in defense and military development from a strategic perspective to provide solid security safeguards for their respective development, Dong said.
