Exhibition on ancient Chinese civilization opens in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition titled "Harmony Creates Beauty: An Art Exhibition of Ancient Chinese Civilization" opened on Tuesday at the National History Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic in the country's capital.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Arslan Koichiev said that ancient Chinese civilization holds a special place in world history. Its culture, philosophy, art, and aesthetic worldview, developed over thousands of years, have made an invaluable contribution to humanity's shared cultural heritage.
He expressed confidence that the exhibition will help the Kyrgyz people know more about China's rich history and culture.
The exhibition features 153 exhibits from China's Tianjin Museum and Inner Mongolia Museum as well as the National History Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Rabagul Magametova, a staff member with the Kyrgyz museum, said that she was lucky to have the opportunity to appreciate the exhibits up close when doing the preparatory work.
"As a museum employee, I was primarily attracted by the beauty and harmony presented by the exhibition," she said.
