Hong Kong's IPO fundraising soars 154 pct in first 7 months
HONG KONG, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) on Thursday said that funds raised through IPO in the first seven months of 2026 were 328.2 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 41.8 billion U.S. dollars), up 154 percent from the same period last year.
Data showed that the HKEX recorded 104 new listings in the first six months of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 96 percent.
The average daily turnover in July stood at 307.2 billion Hong Kong dollars, up 17 percent year on year. The average daily turnover for the first seven months climbed 18 percent to 286.8 billion Hong Kong dollars, according to the HKEX.
By the end of July, the HKEX had 2,763 listed companies with a total market capitalization of about 46.8 trillion Hong Kong dollars.
