A group of 16 Chinese and American university students, participating in the "Across the Pacific: China-U.S. Youth Dialogue for a Shared Future" exchange program, visited Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Yunnan Province from July 17 to 20, 2026.

The program, jointly organized by the China International Communications Group Center for the Americas and the U.S.-based International Student Conferences, aims at boosting people-to-people exchanges between China and the U.S. through youth engagement.

During the trip, Chinese and American youths made Three-Course Tea, a traditional practice of the Bai ethnic group. Through the distinct flavors of bitter, sweet and a lingering aftertaste, they experienced authentic Yunnan folk culture and built closer bonds over this unique local custom.
