China's Meitu sees revenue growth of 28.8 pct in 2025
XIAMEN, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese selfie-enhancing internet company Meitu generated 3.86 billion yuan (about 558.3 million U.S. dollars) in revenue last year, up 28.8 percent year on year.
Meitu recorded an adjusted net profit attributable to the parent company of 965 million yuan, an increase of 64.7 percent year on year, according to the company's financial report disclosed on Friday.
The company, headquartered in the city of Xiamen, east China's Fujian Province, attributed this growth mainly to the integration of artificial intelligence into its product matrix and its rapid expansion, which has significantly increased its number of global paid subscribers, and led to a speedy increase in the revenue of its core business of imaging and design products.
In 2025, Meitu's revenue from image and design products reached 2.95 billion yuan, representing year-on-year growth of 41.6 percent.
Wu Xinhong, the founder, chairman and CEO of Meitu, stated that with the swift evolution of the AI industry, Meitu will continue to deepen its positioning as an AI application company in the imaging sector.
By the end of last year, Meitu had registered a record high of paid subscribers of more than 16.91 million. It also had 276 million monthly active users, up 3.8 percent year on year.
Founded in October 2008, Meitu is an AI-driven technology company that aims to "beautify" users with its image products and beauty management services.
