BEIJING, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Emergency Management said Thursday that the distribution of 4.44 billion yuan (about 639 million U.S. dollars) in relief funds from the central budget has been completed, benefiting 26.01 million people.
These funds are intended to help local governments advance post-disaster recovery and assist those affected by natural disasters during the winter and spring seasons.
The ministry has also provided guidance for local authorities to better implement relief measures, accurately distribute relief funds and focus on the needs of disaster-affected groups.
