1 person shot inside Maryland high school, north of Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- One person was shot inside Thomas S. Wootton High School in Rockville, U.S. Maryland, about a half-hour drive from Washington, D.C., local police said Monday on social media.
Montgomery County Department of Police said on X that the department dispatched at 2:15 p.m. local time for the preliminary report of shots fired near the high school, and the department has "placed the campus on lockdown."
In an update, the police said that one person was confirmed shot and the school remained in lockdown, adding in another update that the shooting occurred inside the school.
