PLA dispatches bombers for combat readiness patrols to east of Taiwan

NANJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Theater Command is dispatching bomber task forces to conduct far-seas combat readiness patrols to the east of Taiwan Island on Monday, according to the theater command.

Shi Yi, spokesperson for the theater command, said the forces focus on subjects such as long-distance raid and joint precision strike, to test their capabilities of maneuver operations in remote areas.
