WASHINGTON, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday filed a defamation suit against the BBC, accusing it of misleadingly editing a speech related to the Capitol riot.
Trump is seeking at least 5 billion U.S. dollars in damages, according to media reports.
"Literally, they put words in my mouth. They had me saying things that I never said coming out," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office before filing the lawsuit.
