

Hunan’s 18th batch of medical workers to aid Hubei and its 5th group offering pair-up support for Huanggang set off by taking a high-speed train G840 at the Changsha South Railway Station on Feb 28.
The medical team consists of 34 members, including 4 doctors, 4 psychologists, 25 nursing staff and 1 clinical pharmacist. Thirty-four are from 8 medical institutions directly subordinate to the province, including the Xiangya Hospital, the Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital, the Hunan Cancer Hospital, the Hunan Children’s Hospital, the Hunan Brain Hospital, the Hunan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital, the First Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Traditional Chinese Medicine College.
The average age is 35.7 years old, with the oldest being 52 and the youngest 24. Fifteen are Party members, and 22 have middle-rank or senior professional titles.
As of now, Hunan has sent a total of 1,478 medical workers in 18 groups to Hubei. (en.changsha.gov.cn)
