

Yanghu Wetland Park passed the evaluation of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and was approved as a national-level wetland park, according to the Yanghu Wetland Development and Management Co., Ltd. on December 26.

Located at Yanghu Ecological New Town, the park covers an area of 478 hectares. It is an important ecological protection project in Xiangjiang New Area. The park plays a vital role in wetland protection and conservation, ecological restoration, and science popularization. It will be fully developed in three phases, with phaseⅠandⅡ completed (covering an area of 200 ha.) and phaseⅢ under construction.

The person in charge of the company said that requirements on national-level wetland parks will be strictly followed to strengthen the wetland ecosystem, increase wetland protection publicity, intensify scientific research and monitoring, and establish a park system. The efforts will help build Yanghu Wetland Park into a top one domestically and internationally. (enchangsha.gov.cn)
