An all-in-one public transportation card called “Xiaoxiang Card” was officially issued in Changsha on May 1.
With this all-in-one public transportation card, citizens can take buses and subways in Changsha city proper, ride on public transportation in Wangcheng District and Changsha County, and take public transport vehicles with "China T-Union" sign on in more than 225 cities across the country.
The card can be used when passengers take trains of the Changsha maglev express lines, and buses in Liuyang and Ningxiang in July this year. In the future, "Xiaoxiang Card" will develop more applications in urban public services, such as paying a fine, making a payment, and information on supermarkets and department stores.
Citizens can handle “Xiaoxiang Card” related businesses with valid identity documents either at its self-operated service centers, or at the designated service centers in cooperation with Changsha Metro, Changsha Bus, Bank of Changsha, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
When buying the card, a deposit is not needed. Card making cost of 10 yuan is required. Once obtaining the card, passengers can enjoy a 30% discount for taking the bus, and a 10% discount for the subway.
In addition, when using the card in Zhuzhou and Xiangtan, the discounts shall be subject to the fare policy issued by the local governments and operating enterprises.
During the transition period, the old transportation cards can still be recharged and used normally. After that, appropriate solutions on stopping the use and recharging of the card will be announced.
