Xiangyang will comprehensively practice the "road chief system" for rural road traffic control from August, and at least three road chiefs will be appointed in each town or township.

On July 27, the Xiangyang Municipal People's Government released the Measures for the Implementation of the "Road Chief System" for Rural Road Traffic Control in Xiangyang. The measures will come into effect on August 1 and remain valid for five years.
