On July 22nd, the China-Europe freight train loaded with products from Hunan headed to Iran's capital, Tehran from Changsha North Station. It opened the prelude to the “Hunan products going out of Hunan” via the Hunan-Europe Express Line. It is reported that this block train full of low sulfurated quality petroleum coke will travel northwards for 10,000 kilometers, exit through Horgos, and pass through Kazakhsta and Turkmenistan before getting to Iran. It takes 16 days to deliver Hunan’s specialties to the destination.

The China-Europe train (Changsha) takes Hunan as its “palm”. Its “Five Fingers” extends to Europe, Russia, Central Asia, the Middle East, and ASEAN. With Changsha as the fulcrum, it will build a bridge connecting Europe and Asia, and ASEAN. The person in charge of Hunan-Europe Express Logistics Co., Ltd. said that this Changsha-Tehran train is the 18th one since the first launch of the express line on December 18, 2017. Different from the previous ones, the train this time delivered Hunan products only. It helped realize the goal of "Hunan products going out of Hunan; high-quality products bringing into Hunan". And it will contribute to Hunan’s development of a new highland in the interior area.

The economic and trade exchanges between Hunan and Iran are frequent. The products exported by Hunan to Iran mainly include steel, machinery and transportation equipment, chemical products, inorganic chemicals and metal products. Iran is an important economic and trade partner of China in the Middle East. There are huge trade potentials between the two countries. As the first and the only platform operating train service to Iran, Hunan-Europe Express takes only 16 days from Changsha to Tehran. It is among the most efficient of all China-Europe Express. It takes 35 to 45 days by shipping. Therefore, the efficiency has been increased greatly.
