On July 4, a preparatory and coordination meeting for the 32th China (Xiangyang·Nanzhang) Orchid Expo was held in Xiangyang to research and solve related matters.

As one of the main producing areas of orchid in China, Xiangyang boasts rich wild orchid resources and it has an important position in orchid industry both China and foreign countries for its wide distribution, variety, quantity, quality and influence. On March 23, 2018, Nanzhang County won the right to host the 32th China Orchid Expo in 2022 with a unanimous vote.
