Intangible Cultural Heritage Passed Down in Campus

Jingdong County is a well-known historical and cultural place in Pu'er City and it is home to a number of intangible cultural heritages, including Shaxi opera, Sheepskin dance and Yi ethnic’s Dage songs and embroidery. Among them, 4 are at provincial level, 17 at municipal level and 36 at county level, along with 9 province-level, 40 city-level and 54 county-level representative inheritors.

Over the recent years, Jingdong County has held a variety of cultural activities among campuses in all its townships and towns to bring the local intangible cultural skills into the classroom and to safeguard the root and soul of traditional culture through display, performance, personal experience and some other means.
