On July 13, the executive meeting of the State Council announced a batch of new comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zones. New pilot zones will be established in 22 cities, including Changsha, Beijing, Hohhot, Shenyang, Changchun, Nanchang, and Wuhan. The move helps bring new opportunities for Hunan’s cross-border e-commerce development.
In May this year, Hunan has issued “Policy Measures to Promote the Development of Open Economy”. This proposed supporting the cross-border e-commerce cluster development, giving appropriate subsidies to the comprehensive cost of cross-border e-commerce, supporting the development of cross-border e-commerce leading enterprises, and strengthening incubation system establishment. A one-time payment of one million CNY as award will be granted to enterprises or institutions who do imports and exports, lead small and medium-sized enterprises to engage in cross-border e-commerce, and serve for over 100 enterprises.
Currently Hunan has formulated a cross-border e-commerce action plan. According to the plan, by 2021, Hunan will become a hub for cross-border e-commerce industry in China’s central and western regions. The cross-border e-commerce imports and exports will exceed 10 billion USD.
