Residents and tourists in Changsha county will be soon able to immerse themselves in the rich and diverse Hunan culture and cuisine with a package of projects signed to enter Xunlong River Eco Art Town on March 25.

The projects cover restaurants, hotels, entertainment and health care and have an estimated value exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.59 billion), according to an official of the management committee of the feature town.

The arrival of Huogongdian Restaurant, which is famous for the most authentic Hunan snacks, was the most welcomed development among participants at the signing ceremony. Foodies will soon be able to have a bite of the restaurant's dishes in the Central China province.

With several industrial projects landing in the region, an economic pattern featuring ecology, culture, tourism, education and health care industries will take shape. It's expected that the local economy will be put on a fast track for growth.

A press conference of the First China Rural Vitalization Conference sponsored by the China Urban-townization Promotion Council was convened on the same day. The conference is to be held in June in Beijing.

The Xunlong River Eco Art Town project can be viewed as a model that should be studied and promoted in the outskirts of any city, said the sponsor.
