Hunan-made New Energy Vehicles Exported to France

(People's Daily Online)    14:34, February 08, 2018

At 9:00 am on February 2, a freight train of the China Railway Express departed from Zhengzhou Railway Station. It will travel through “Belt and Road” countries and head to France. It was loaded with 6 of the first batch of new energy vehicles produced by Hunan Jincheng Xindong New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd.

The company is a new energy vehicle manufacturer located in a provincial industrial concentration area in Xinhuang Dong Autonomous County. In 2017, the company has been active in the national “Belt and Road" Initiative and targeted the increasing popularity of new energy vehicles in the European market. It has invested 700 million CNY to develop two new energy vehicles installed with lithium battery and lead-acid battery respectively. The company General Manager Zhou Jiabing said, "French businessmen choose Jincheng car because the car is made of lightweight material—pure aluminum alloy, and its energy-saving emission reduction meets the EU standards."

It is learnt that in December 2017, French businessmen and the company signed the first order. In this January, the French businessmen conducted a field investigation of the company again and signed an order of 300 new energy vehicles on January 20. Zhou Jiabing said, “Thanks to the 'Belt and Road' Initiative, it only takes about 20 days for the cars to arrive in France by the China Railway Express while it takes at least a minimum of more than two months by ship. It helps save both time and costs. At present, the company is operating at full capacity to ensure that the French order will be completed by the end of this May."
