

The production process of Liuyang fireworks is one of the Han nationality’s traditional handicrafts. Whenever there is a folk event or traditional festival or celebration, people will turn to letting off fireworks.
Liuyang fireworks feature a novel structure and beautiful decorations. They are fabulously colorful, presenting vivid color and sound and bring a sense of freshness and happiness to people when they are let off. Especially at night, the golden flowers will spread everywhere blazing with color. Some may rotate or jump on the ground, others may fly up to shine in the sky, giving a dazzling display. For this reason, Liuyang fireworks have won the reputation of “Liuyang Fireworks Shocking the World”.
Liuyang Fireworks use handmade paper, potassium nitrate, sulfur, carbon powder, and red clay, all of which are raw materials locally obtained. The production of the fireworks involves a total of 12 flows and 72 work processes. With the development of modern science and technology, new high-tech products that are safe and reliable and friendly to the environment, such as smokeless fireworks, cold light fireworks, day fireworks and fireworks for indoor use or stage, have been developed and they have reached the world’s leading level.
